Gijon loses goalkeeper Cuellar for four months

12/15/2008 - Gijon, Asturias (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Sporting Gijon goalkeeper Ivan Cuellar faces at least four months on the sidelines after breaking his ankle in the 3-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao.

The 24-year-old keeper sustained the injury after colliding with Carlos Gurpegui with both players requiring surgery.

Gurpegui broke his nose in the clash, but it is Cuellar who faces a lengthier absence.

Cuellar is not expected to return to action until March at the earliest.
